The recording dates could be consecutive days, but it’s also quite possible this was a late evening session that spilled into the early morning hours the next day.
In total, four sides cut with one rejected. The remaining title was paired with a Leo Reisman track.
1929/30 were pivotal years in the transition from the BB (tuba) to the string bass in dance bands. While Country Washburn plays tuba on the other two sides, he switches to SB for the flip. This song only helped the instrument's intrigue and visibility.
