Anton Hermann Winter - German Speech Sounds (1st Record) / German Speech Sounds (2nd Record) (1932)
I wonder why the 'A' and 'B' side labels differ in colour - particularly the gramophone image itself ?

Warings Pennsylvanians - Oh, Baby! (Don't Say No, Say Maybe) / There's No One Just Like You (1924)
Interestingly, unlike Victor record labels on this site for the respective artists, this HMV label shows the band name 'Warings Pennsylvanians' without an apostrophe for 'Warings' and 'Night Hawk' as two separate words - not hyphenated nor depicted as one word'.

Harry Hudson's Melody Men - It Goes Like This / I'm Crazy Over You (1929)
'A' and 'B' side label variations added.

Font differences on both sides.

I am particularly intrigued by the way in which the letter 'x' is depicted on 'It Goes Like This' - 'Novelty Fox Trot'

Also, the lack of a 'label printed tax stamp' on 'I'm Crazy Over You'.

Kathlyn Hilliard - Indian Love Call / Rose-Marie (1925)
I was just about to play this record when I noticed that the 'A' Side label has writing etched into it. The writing almost seemed to be beneath the label and just 'shows through'.

I think that it was written at the production factory as it is 'so neat'. Maybe before the label was affixed ? Maybe just afterwards. I could be wrong though.

The writing seems to' say', as it progresses down the label:

CC5999
7 April 25
Z 13
2-7-24
INDIAN LOVE CALL
MISS HILLIARD
/ORCH.

'CC5999(1) is indeed the number etched into the 'run out'.

I wonder if anyone can help to clarify when it may have been written, why it was written and some of it's meaning ? Would every record in this issue / batch have had this ? The 'B' side has no writing at all incidentally.

I know that some 'Jumbo' label 'Billy Williams' records have his signature etched into them but this seems different maybe ?

I am thinking that maybe the song was released on 7th April 1925 and recorded 2nd July 1924 ? However, the HMV dating software says the release date was 'May 1925' - at least for the British version. So maybe different in India ?

Thank you for any help / advice you can give.

Regimental Band Of H.M. Grenadier Guards - The Parade Of The Tin Soldiers / The Burial Of Cock Robin (1915)
Very interesting indeed !

I wonder why the extra 'W' instead of just AX1323/4 ?

Also, would the 'R' normally mean a re-issue I wonder ?

Thank you for any clarification you can give.

Cathie's Band - Old Scotch Songs / Give Yourself A Pat On The Back (1930)
'B' Side Variant Label added.

I thought it was interesting when compared to the existing 'B' side as it shows through misalignment that the label printing process was completed with at least two separate stages.

Joan Regan - If I Give My Heart To You / Faded Flowers (1954)
Side 'A' Variant added. The Word 'accompaniment' does not begin with a capital 'A'.

On Side 'B' of my record this word does begin with a capital 'A', and also does with the previously up-loaded labels, so I presume this was an error which was later corrected.

Oh, I see. Sorry about that.

I have just had a look but I can't see stamped the words 'Cat No ...', I can see something that looks like' made for Fonotipia Companies' - no idea what that means though.

Thank you for you help.
