George Slv 9th Oct 2022		78 RPM Teresa Brewer - The Thing / I Guess I'll Have To Dream The Rest (1950)	Thanks a lot My Friend Jack. You don't mean "Bit Singles". Does this supposedly represent all of England? There was no national chart then, only regional. Apparently at some point she reached #20. PS: It's more clear to me now. The book is based on wholesale sales nation-wide. It also references sheet music. There are various errors in it. The website I had found in one city must have been displaying charts contrary to copyright and was shut down. Do you find her in it at #20?

George Slv 5th Aug 2018		78 RPM Kay Starr - I'm The Lonesomest Gal In Town / Share Croppin' Blues (1947)	It looks like Lonesomest Gal was written in 1912. Recorded by Ella Fitzgerald and Kay in the 1940s. Then Teresa Brewer got the idea to include it in her 1951 Snader telescriptions (TV Videos).
George Slv 3rd Aug 2018		78 RPM Kay Starr - You've Got To See Mama Ev'ry Night / Mercy, Mercy, Mercy (1948)	I don't know what to make of the disc number and date. The A song is included on the Capitol Collectors Series CD before You Were Only Fooling. There is a UK issue currently on sale at ebay, which could be added here too. This official video says 1948 [YouTube Video] Some sources say 1947.
George Slv 19th Jul 2018		78 RPM Teresa Brewer - Ol' Man Mose / I Beeped When I Shoulda Bopped! (1949)	She performed Mose on Ed Sullivan twice. In the Feb.1950 appearance Sullivan says she "made history" last year with that recording. I'd dearly like to know what that meant. There were only 10 positions on the charts then, so we don't know how well it did. Must have had an effect in New York. Her first performance was August 1949, which would be good to find. In 1958 Sullivan had a 10th anniversary show which included a clip of her 1949 appearance. That episode is viewable at the Paley Center in New York. That's an assignment for any ambitious person, and see if you can capture the image. Here's the video of 1950 on YT: [YouTube Video] The video here from April 2015 says Not Available for me.

The sound is clean. It's on some other collections as well. It turns out I already have a flac purchase.

For a major hit it is hard to find. To me the 1937 rerecording does not sound as genuine, tho more polished. Where to get the 1934?
George Slv 24th Jun 2018		78 RPM Sons Of The Pioneers - Cowboy Camp Meetin' / Tumbling Tumbleweeds (1946)	THIS was RCA's rerecording of Decca's Tumbling Tumbleweeds. RCA reused it for single reissues in future decades. They also reissued it in 1947 for some reason. It is actually being incorrectly used in a 1934 hits album online.

So they only recorded it in 1945, and that was used for the two 1947 releases? Then the 1945 recording was used for all 45 reissues. My Golden Greats 45 is WRONG when it says "from the "Cool Water" album. On Nolan's site he gives a 1959 recording by Tommy Doss. This must be from the Cool Water LP? By the way is there a recording of Whoopie-ti-yi-yo (Get along little dogies) other than that LP?

RCA used this one on reissues for years. This record did not chart for RCA.

George Slv 19th May 2018		78 RPM Dude Martin And His Roundup Gang - If You Want Some Lovin' Just Let Me Know / It Wouldn't Be The Same Without You (1950)	This would be the first recording of the song, later recorded by Teresa Brewer in 1951 and also the Griffin Brothers in the R&B field. Here's the audio link to Internet Archive.

No difference in the label. So deezee is confirming that such bootleg 45s were issued.

The UK Jasmine CD "The Original Sound" has a copy that curiously omits the second last verse about St. Peter, and is under 2 min. So that was the UK release?
