IamBgas 10th Sep 2020		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Capitol Single Record Release 616 (1958)	Laurence D; make1968; I have ten of these in my Beach Boys collection And yes, I believe there were releases for every "SIngles Release" by Capitol in this time frame, even though I don't own every one of them. As most of the ones I own were purchased from an auction in Australia by( I think) the National Archives, my supposition is that these were made by Capitol USA to be sent .to their associates around the world for them to be able to hear the tracks and decide which they might actually want to also issue.

IamBgas 24th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Best Of The Beach Boys, Vol. 2 (1967)	The 1st Issue did not have a set track order listed on the back cover, but instead had the same inscription, See label for correct playing order, which was to have been used on the( unreleased) Smile LP ( Capitol DT-2580) (Mod edit: Back cover image moved HERE since it is monophonic...Beatlejohn)
IamBgas 24th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - The Beach Boys Deluxe Set (1967)	There is NOT a Capitol Record Club version. Goldmine Price Guide is wrong, no big surprise Longinnes had no interest in selling a 3 record set, when they were trying to sell the 3 individual LPs. There is NO evidence anywhere that a version with a Blue Spine ever existed, No-one has ever seen one, or ever will, on account of there were never any made
IamBgas 23rd Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Sunflower (1970)	This LP has at least two label variations. One with/ one without STEREO in black letters at the bottom center. This is a gatefold cover, identical to the regular release, except for the addition of SKAO 93352 on the spine
IamBgas 23rd Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) (1968)	Added label images, and partial cover scans for the back and front showing the catalog numbering as ST 8-2354, as compared to the DT-8-2354 on the labels. Also added a back cover image, but it's blurry

IamBgas 22nd Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Stack-O-Tracks (1968)	As shown by the images I added, there are ( at least) two numbering variations for this releases. DKAO-8-2893 and DKAO -82893. The covers for both are identical
IamBgas 22nd Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Holland (1973)	Agreed on Canadian versions; NONE of them have WGL on the vinyls, only on the sleeves. There were USA test pressings which came with WGL, tho later versions have SOS. instead, just as with the regular versions.
IamBgas 19th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Shut Down Volume 2 (1964)	First issues had track B3 Keep An Eye On Summer credited only to Brian Wilson - Bob Norman; subsequent releases added Love ( Mike Love) to the credit. Track A4 "Cassius" Love Vs "Sonny" Wilson is one of only two Brian/Mike tracks I can think of where Mike Love is actually shown first in the credits. I think the official listing above needs to be reversed to reflect this. ( The other track is Anna Lee The Healer from the Friends LP)
IamBgas 19th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Little Deuce Coupe (1963)	First issues had track B5 credited to Bobby Troup - Brian Wilson; all subsequent releases had Bobby Troup only. Not certain why Troup deserves credit for lyrics he didn't write....

IamBgas 19th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album The Beach Boys - Surfin' U.S.A. (1963)	The first issue of the LP has A1 credited to Brian Wilson; all subsequent versions credited solely (and WRONGLY I would add) to Chuck Berry. Also on the first issue, B2 Honky Tonk is credited only to Bill Doggett, where all later issues credit Doggett, Scott, Butler, Shepard. First issue back covers omitted the photo credit in the lower left corner to John Severson, which was added on subsequent issues ( I added an image from the Stereo version)

IamBgas 17th Feb 2017		Vinyl Album Various Artists - Special Programmer, Selections From Fall 1965 Releases (1965)	It should be noted that track B1 is NOT Jan and Dean. It's the Bel-Aire Pops Orchestra. And it sure sounds weird! I couldn't even tell it was the Little Old Lady track
