Not a great scan but I only have an A3+ scanner and this being a gimmick cover with the two fold out flaps on the bottom of the sleeve it was a tad difficult to do. So many scans and some photo stitching later this is it. So now to relax for a while and listen to it ;-)) [YouTube Video]

Cover & Labels have all the Kinney Cat No's & the disc has both Polydor & Kinney Cat No's in the deadwax. This might well be a 2nd transitional issue judging from the Fragile album. The sleeve is unlaminated

Cover & Lyric sheet have all the Kinney Cat No's & the disc has both Polydor & Kinney Cat No's in the deadwax. This might well be a 2nd transitional issue judging from the many different pressings of the Fragile album. The sleeve is unlaminated

Quad5point1 15th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Faces - The First Step (1971)	Added all label & cover scans. This is the first transitional press after Kinney took over Warners. This one still has the Warner WS 3000 orange labels and has both Warners & Kinney's Cat No in the deadwax. It still has the WS 3000 Cat No on the sleeve which has the Kinney sticker over the top of it. The second press with Kinney has orange labels but the WS 3000 is removed from the deadwax and the sleeve only has K 46053 on the rear. The third release sees a redesign of the label to the more familiar Green type and only has the Kinney number K 46053 in the deadwax.

Quad5point1 15th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Yes - Fragile (1972)	Added all scans gatefold, booklet & labels. This pressing is a transitional one during the move from Polydor to Kinney. This copy is the 2nd transitional version. The first one had all the attributes of a Polydor pressing but the Cat No inside the gatefold was stickered with a Kinney Cat no and the spine also retained the Polydor number. This is also when the label design changed from Red / Plum to Bright Green / Brown - Brick Red. The second version is the same except all the sleeves carried the proper Kinney Cat No's and no stickers, the brick/brown colour is a shade lighter. Both transitional versions kept the old Polydor Cat No's in the Deadwax of the albums. After this came the now standard Green & Orange Labels with all the Kinney sleeve & disc catalogue numbers matching up and the Polydor number removed from the deadwax

Apparently the car used in this photo shoot for the cover was a Lancia Flavia owned by Storm Thorgerson from Hipgnosis, the people responsible for most of the artwork on a multitude of albums, perhaps most famous for the Pink Floyd sleeves
