rocket666 31st May 2020		Vinyl Album Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1976)	Mine; 1 - Tri-fold sleeve by Robor Limited. Yellow Vinyl wth yellow labels and black print. Dead wax; all 4 sides 'Strawberry' and DJE 29001 x (A5, B5, C5, D5). 2 - Gatefold sleeve, no printer credit. Black vinyl with split yellow and black labels first used for the second reissue series in mid 1981 (DJM 22000 nos.). Plain inner for sides 1 & 2, full colour lyric and band photo card inner sides 3 & 4. Dead wax; DJE 29001 (A18, B2, C16, D12).!! Guess I need to get those 8 scans done.

rocket666 26th May 2020		Vinyl Album Michael Nesmith - Pretty Much Your Standard Ranch Stash (1977)	After four National Band lps in the US, of which the UK got no release for the second, (Loose Salute), came 'And The Hits Keep on Coming' again not issued in the UK at the time - Aug 1972. Now here, as Phantom says, is Michael's sixth overall RCA album, and fourth with a UK contempory release. US Jul '73 and UK Feb '74, both - apparently used widely at the time - with same cat. no ;- APL1 - 0164....!

rocket666 24th May 2020		Vinyl Album Nils Lofgren And Grin - Nils Lofgren And Grin (1979)	Another odd (only used here) artist credit from the Lofgren / Grin world via CBS.. On the spine is Nils Lofgren - Nils Lofgren & Grin, yet labels use all as here. A non-chronological compilation from the first three Grin albums (on CBS), the fourth saw them move to A&M. While the liner notes, by John Rogan - (DARK STAR) mention 'Don't Be Long', a title not on this record. No mention of Embassy on my rear sleeve varition; bottom 20%. My sunburst labels do have a small boxed EMBASSY below CBS though. Even though all GRIN recordings, should this be under Nils Lofgren for simplicity - which CBS may have prefered, and used with better effect on the 1976 double lp straight forward reissue. Finally Music Master 1996 states this issued again (lp and mc) CBS 32717.....in Feb 1986.

rocket666 23rd May 2020		Vinyl Album The Flying Burrito Bros. - Live In Amsterdam (1973)	BROTHERS or BROS??? Only 'Brothers' on these labels. All 'Bros', sleeve and labels on 'original' Dutch issue. Should the whole group always be 'Brothers' for consistancy, as the other is a mere abbreviation?

rocket666 20th May 2020		Vinyl Album Steve Winwood - Arc Of A Diver (1980)	I have diver labels (as Italy but slight print difference to cat nos.). Matrix stamped ILPS 9576 A - 2U and 9 4 and 'JOAR' scratched / B - 2U and 2 3 and 'sound clinic'. Inner sleeve as US; but above photo is 'ILPS 9576 (I)...[I for insert?? perhaps). All seems to be UK but no mention of such anywhere; 'Manufactured and distributed by EMI Records Limited' bottom right rear sleeve. Though my properly cut and stuck sleeve has the spine text down the left of the front sleeve - not seen in any uploaded pictures; and there is a five pointed star after the cat. no. Any meanings behind these minor sightings?

And a few Joel Whitburn Billboard books. Don't use them must now though with so much info here to cross reference things. Hope life ok with you and all here abouts.
