vidman45 13th May 2014		Vinyl Album Rick Nelson - The Very Best Of Rick Nelson (1970)	When all else fails, I try dating by comparing Cat#'s to other listings on the same label. This one falls next to the listed 1970 Jan & Dean album.
vidman45 13th May 2014		Vinyl Album Jan And Dean - Golden Hits Volume Three (1966)	This album was issued soon after Jan's accident, and Liberty was desperate for another LP. Most of their "Golden" hits were on "Golden Hits Volume 2". This album contains mostly filler and cover versions from their earlier albums, which the fans already owned. This and "Popsicle" were their only two LP's that I did not buy.

There should be a ton of theme here, but about all I see are a few 70's hits comps. Did everyone do like I did, and get rid of the original LP's when we got the songs on CD? If you have them, please add them here to preserve history.

It is the photo of Phil in his Santa suit that is on the back cover of most of the other Spector Christmas albums.

"Clown Town" was released on a Columbia 45 in 1963. "I've Never Been The Same" may be an unreleased track. Anyone know? It is done in "country" style. This budget LP also contains two early pre-hit Joe South records.

This is a promotional copy with BB hole and a large promo sticker covering the girl's legs. I hope that someone can replace it with a better copy of the cover.

Both the instrumental "Tia-Juana Blues" and "That's My Story" were issued in August, 1966 on an ABC-Paramount and ABC 45-10788. See 45Cat.

It is the only DC5 record that I still have in my collection because it is in good stereo. All that Mr. Clark sent over here to sell in the US was mono and poorly re-channeled fake stereo. When I found out about this album, I bought it as an import.

vidman45 14th Mar 2014		Vinyl Album The Fireballs Featuring Jimmy Gilmer - Bottle Of Wine (1968)	45 Cat has a main database for The Fireballs with 116 45's listed in it with, several group name variations. When I added two LP's today with the names as credited on the album cover and labels to The Fireballs Featuring Jimmy Gilmer, the group got split into two. I like to see all of the names combined into a main database like has been done at 45 Cat. Can a moderator do this? Jimmy Gilmer apparently left the group after this album, and the label credits went back to using The Fireballs.

vidman45 28th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Dion And The Belmonts - Presenting Dion And The Belmonts (1960)	Fred, thanks for the info on the re-issues of this LP. So I have a 1962 re-issue. I knew that I could not afford new LP's back then when I was still in high school. The BB hole in the lower-front cover refreshes my memory of buying from a cut-out table at Woolworths when I was in college. It is still a beautiful album. I don't even want to know what it's worth on eBay today.

vidman45 19th Feb 2014		Vinyl Album Ricky Nelson - Songs By Ricky (1981)	I added this album to Pathe-Marconi (France), but that label seems to have gone inactive before the 1981 reissue date. Should I have added it to Pathe (France), where the Cat#s and dates fit together better? I have another Rick Nelson album to add from this same reissue series.
