Thanks to George Martin, Geoff Emerick and Phillip McDonald.
"Her Majesty" appears as a hidden track. Between "The End" and "Her Majesty" is 14 seconds of silence. First pressings do not include the song in the track listing.

| | I have the first pressing but sadly once owned by someone with a mono ", Steam Roller", type of record player unsuited to playing stereo records, thus ruining it.
This was the first Beatles' album to be released exclusively in stereo from of course.
It did cost me 25p to be fair. |

| | My local Sainsbury's have sold out. (You can still get Revolver and Sgt Pepper LPs though, while picking up your milk and baked beans.) Would be interested to know if airbrushed copies do exist though. |

| | the abbey road cover - well, an abbey road cover - was fairly recently shown (or re-shown) on tv without the cigarette, and compared with an original with it; i don't remember whether one or both were lp sleeves, or cd front inserts - and i had to look back at my original copy, to check that there was indeed a cigarette between paul's fingers on it - i hadn't noticed, or hadn't remembered noticing - in forty-five years!
- and then i wondered... |

|
TopPopper 28th Aug 2016
| | I don't think it ever has been. Do you have an example? (I can well imagine it's been airburshed out from merchandise like cups and T-shirts from time to time, but the actual record sleeve?) |

TopPopper 10th Apr 2016
| | Unknown, although some have said they think it's Linda McCartney. Apparently the official version is that it was a passer-by who got in front of the lens, and they just decided it looked good with her breezing past. This is a good place for info and trivia on the album cover. |

Record Collector 25th Feb 2015
| | Different take compared to the album version as I mentioned before paul is doing a run through as he commented at the best worst bits at the and you notice he is doing a alternative guitar solo guide as this was a earlier take |

| | W.B. lbl, go to forums, "The Great Abbey Road Comments Thread Of 2015" and read the exchanges between Magic Marmalade, Record Collector, TopPopper and myself, if you can stay seated to read them and not find yourself rolling on the floor in hysteric laughter, that is! |

| | Funny, back when this was released this cover was cited as "proof" that Paul was dead, yet 46 years later he's still very much around - and John and George are the ones who are dead (wonder if their respective attire were premonitions) . . . |

TopPopper 20th Jun 2014
| | Hey, you're right! You can see by comparing - the "mis-aligned apple" cover has the photo zoomed in a bit, cropping off the top and left hand edges of the artwork. The over-print of the song titles is no longer in line with the apple, but the apple itself is unmoved. |
|
|
|
wordnwot 19th Jun 2014
| | Curious how this came to be, but the so called mis-alignment of the apple is not true. In all cases the apple is below the centre of the A in Abbey Road. Its the white text that is mis-aligned or moved to the right not the apple to the left.

| | @roboleyton........Thanks for that info. I would have bought the album back in '78 (in London, England), and I do not recall any shrink wrap, or stickers on my copy (could have forgotten, though).
At the minute, I have dug out several hundred albums from their hidey holes, and am sorting out which nuggets to list first, but I did pull out both my copies of "Abbey Road" and I will cross check..... |

| | YankeeDisc, all coloured vinyl copies, are UK export issues, even though they have standard UK labels. They were pressed in 1978 and each should have a sticker over the shrinkwrap, stating that it is a UK pressing, with 2 Union Jack flags and the price in US $. |
