Dire Straits - Love Over Gold (1983)
Barcodes and packages are identical here for both discs displayed, and even for the first CD issue with blue swirl logo and blue text on the disc.

The Box Tops - Soul Deep: The Best Of The Box Tops (1999)
Hi RPFiller, as you haven't uploaded any images, I can only guess that "BM830" is not a catalogue number variant but a price code, so it has to be deleted again.

The Doors - The Doors (1991)
A tricky one, as the 1999 version was remastered and somehow "new", but the catalogue number and barcode remained unchanged, so this is one entry by 45worlds CD Albums standards. I exchanged the images though and made the 1991 version come first, and I also adjusted the record notes. It seems that the disc label design of both versions was more or less the same, so I left plocky45's disc upload at top and marked it "1991/1999 version".

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon (1994)
These are good questions. Maybe Orbiting Cat or Dr Doom can give a more authoritative answer (we're still in the Beta Test phase if I'm not mistaken). Personally I like the idea of having only one entry for related issues (with the same cover and booklet and only slightly different manufacturer information) where Discogs has a confusing ten or more entries, and some of them duplicates in fact.

Michael Bolton - Soul Provider (1989)
As far as I see, it's nowhere a COL but a CBS, but this is because you have uploaded the CBS version. As this was actually the same label renamed Columbia in 1991, see the discussion there, we can pool the issues in one entry, with 465343 2 as the main number and CBS/COL 465343 2 as additional numbers, and CBS as main label.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Legend (1987)
I changed it back to 1987 and MCAD-42084 as the main cat# as this matches the meanwhile added MCA [USA] entries well. Still I leave it "International" as the barcode of the European and the US issues is the same, so we only have one "product" in terms of 45worlds CD Albums.

Regardless of whether we'll merge it to International: I surely believe you, but where is the pointer to Australia on the images you uploaded? I still don't see it.

Was this actually manufactured in Australia? Well, it's also on Discogs like that although I can't find any evidence for it. Anyway, it has the same European price codes under the barcode as those issues expressly "Printed in the U.K.". I assume that we'll have to change all 1994 Pink Floyd EMI issues, may they be from the UK, Continental Europe or Australia, to "International" and to EMI United Kingdom (as this was the more specific label). As said on the forums (CD Album changes thread):
Orbiting Cat wrote:
... CD Album World is more product-based than other worlds, so normally there will be just a single entry for each barcode.

When adding CDs, the first options shown are International and Europe, as many CDs will fit into those categories. "International" just means that it was released in more than 1 country. It doesn't mean that it was released worldwide. So it's a very flexible choice.

The US-made issue has to be a different entry then, as it was on Capitol and has another barcode, but I'm not sure about South American issues that may have different labels (just EMI), catalogue numbers or barcodes.

The Doors - The Doors (1983)
Changed release date to Dec 1983 (taken from the German book, The Doors - Sounds for Your Soul: Die Musik der Doors by Heinz Gerstenmeyer), and changed back the US catalogue number as the main number, as it was on the early copies of this CD issue.

The Doors - Morrison Hotel (1984)
This first CD issue of Morrison Hotel did not come out in Feb 1986, as Martin C. Strong's Great Rock Discography says, but in Oct 1984, regardless the use of the new Elektra label design. Discs were made for WEA in the first CD pressing plant in the world in Hannover, West Germany, owned by PolyGram Records. Early discs had a "target" label with only the US catalogue number (EKS 75007-2) and the text "Made in West Germany by PolyGram" printed along the perimeter at the bottom, whereas both the US and European cat# were on the package. I have added an example of a disc and the back cover of such an early issue.

The Doors - The Doors (1983)
Replaced the cover image with a more contrasted one and added an example for an earlier "target" CD, made in West Germany by PolyGram, i.e. pressed before October 1985 when PolyGram transferred control of their West German pressing plant to a joint venture between Philips and DuPont Optical (PDO) and before pressing plants were opened in the UK and in the USA.

Ry Cooder - Bop Till You Drop (1983)
One of the early CD pressings made in West Germany for everywhere. The CD label uploaded by PCB5394 is a so-called Target CD that were mostly released in the first half of the 1980s. Here's a lot more information about them: The Target CD Collection. There you can also find some label variations of this album.

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon (1984)
Additional info: Already the first EMI issue with the Japan-made CD had a 12-page booklet "Printed in England by James Upton Ltd Birmingham and London", with explication texts about the new "Compact Digital Audio System" in German, English, French and Italian, something definitely not useful for a UK-only issue. I suppose your Made in UK issue has the same booklet.

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon (1984)
Hi hiwatt1973, it's not as easy to distinguish different releases here as you suggest, especially as not all information from booklets, discs etc. has been uploaded yet. It seems, however, that all your "made in the UK" specifications are also on the issue uploaded and owned by Syd Vliet, only that that one has also a barcode. This doesn't necessarily make two different releases though.

Moreover, you can't draw the line between "an early pre bar code release" (made in the UK) and "a later bar code one" (Euro made or made in Japan). Actually, as there were no CD pressing plants in the UK before May 1986, early pre-barcode issues with this catalogue number were made either in Japan or West Germany and sold everywhere in the EMI distribution area, including the UK. When the EMI CD plant opened at last in 1986, UK-produced issues were distributed alike. Later issues with barcode were apparently made anywhere (e.g. Holland) and sold in the UK regardless the place of manufacture.

So we could make different entries for the pre-barcode issue and the barcode issue, but I don't see a benefit from it. Anyway we should not make a UK issue of it because this (made in UK just for the UK) does not exist by the 45worlds CD Albums standards.

Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde (1992)
For comparison only, I have added an image of the inner gatefold of the original double LP. As you can see, nearly all of the original photos, though partly cropped, are now in the booklet. Missing, however, are the photographs of Claudia Cardinale and of the photographer himself, Jerry Schatzberg, who had also shot the cover photo. Here's something more about it, taken from Wikipedia:

The original inside gatefold featured nine black-and-white photos, all taken by Schatzberg and selected for the sleeve by Dylan himself. A shot of actress Claudia Cardinale from Schatzberg's portfolio was included but later withdrawn because it had been used without her authorization and Cardinale's representatives threatened to sue, making the original record sleeve a collector's item. Dylan included a self-portrait by Schatzberg as a credit to the photographer. The photos, for [Andy] Gill, added up to "a shadowy glimpse of [Dylan's] life, including an enigmatic posed shot of Dylan holding a small portrait of a woman in one hand and a pair of pliers in the other: they all contributed to the album's air of reclusive yet sybaritic genius."

The 2003 issue of the album used completely different photos from Schatzberg.

Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde (2003)
This was, by the way, the only 1960s album of Dylan that I had on CD before the 2003 remasters came out, not necessarily because it was my personal favorite but because I could finally listen to this former double LP in one sitting. This being said, Blonde On Blonde may be Dylan's best-ever album musically, made with some renowned session musicians in Nashville (harmonica player, guitarist and bassist Charlie McCoy, guitarist Wayne Moss, guitarist and bassist Joe South, and drummer Kenny Buttrey), besides the familiar Al Kooper on organ and guitar and Robbie Robertson on guitar, and it also contains some of his best compositions, all mostly created unconsciously, something Dylan would lose after his motorcycle accident only a few months later.

You don't need to try it. You can read the letters clearly on a PNG image of the same dimensions (800 x 800 pixels) which, however, has a filesize of 964 KB whereas the JPEG image only has 87 KB - and the maximum filesize on 45cat and 45worlds is 250 KB (and only JPG/JPEG images are accepted).

Edit: Maybe there is a way but I don't know it. The label image on Discogs is JPEG, only 500 x 500 pixels and 170 KB, and is rather well legible.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Chronicle (1985)
This was the first CD issue of Chronicle, released with this cat# (FCD-623-CCR2) in 1985 according to some sources. Steve Hoffman, who seems to be responsible for the SACD remasters of CCR albums, commented on this issue: Chronicle is tricky. The LP is no good because it's made from a dreadful assembled, trebly copy dub. The first CD issue was also made from that dub, also dreadful. Foreign versions were also made from it.

I'm not sure if the first CD issue already had the long version (11:04) of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" on it (the original double LP and my German CD hadn't) and if the barcode belongs to here though.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Chronicle (1991)
Okay, I've made it USA for now. The German issue with the same catalogue number (that I own) is different anyway, as it has the short (3:52) version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine, like the original double LP had. So let's wait if there were actually issues from other countries with the same cat# that are more similar to this club issue.

I have also corrected the release year from 1987 to 1991, like stated on the back cover (tray insert).

Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde (1992)
The first European Columbia (Sony Music) issue of Blonde On Blonde, in all but label and catalogue number identically equal to the previous CBS release of 1987. This one came out in 1992 according to some sources, and that may be so. It was still a poorly packaged issue with improvable sound quality, so I replaced it with the 2003 remastered version.

Hi GEMSMFAN,
sorry for the dissonance here. I could change it to USA now but actually I'm not sure if I should. We had a similar case for Electric Ladyland (though that one is definitely US). There we got the same entry for the ordinary Reprise issue (with barcode) and for the BMG issue which is identical except for the additional BMG cat# that covers the barcode on the tray insert.

I expect very similar non-BMG Music club issues of Chronicle with the same cat# (and with a barcode) that we may collect on this "International" entry but I may be wrong about that.

As quoted on the page for ABBA's The Visitors, I stand corrected here too. Blue Polar silkscreen label CDs actually came out as early as 1983.

As found on that old discussion, Polar CDs were made by PolyGram in West Germany, but probably not only for Sweden but for the international market, until about 1987 when the Polar label was phased out outside the domestic Swedish market.
