Dinosaur Discs has recently expanded the magazines it lists, so you may want update the listing in the first posting in this thread.
The 78rpm community has started a 'Wiki Disc' database. I'm slowly transcribing label/series listings from Frank Andrews, Brian Rust and others that appear in 'The Talking Machine Review' magazine at Dinosaur Discs.

That 'Wiki Disc' database could turn out useful: it seems to have the same global ambitions as 78RPM World but without images and comments.
I am however not sure they are adhering well to the intention to list 78s: the Database of Anton Webern Works shows CDs, SACDs, LPs, EPs, Tapes, MP3s and no format at all, but I did not see any 78s
Dating resources for U.S. Columbia A- and E-Series (already added to sticky post, part 2, in this forum): Columbia E-Series Dec. 2016 list by Richard Spottswood (with matrix numbers and recording dates). Columbia A- and E-Series Release Dates
I've just used your wonderful work on the Parlophone R100 series to add the months of release to several of our entries here.
That made me wonder when the periods between the A-prefix and the catalog numbers were introduced. From looking at the records in our database, this seems to have happened around mid-1947. I was hoping to have that confirmed through one of the posts on Parlophone Record Label Identification that you once had posted on the 78rpmcommunity blog and to which you link on your Parlophone biography here. Unfortunately, all these links are dead now. Did you happen to delete these posts?
I think a label style guide would be very much appreciated by many users here and elsewhere.

I'm only the publisher, so not just my research as Jerry King made very significant contributions, and other members added to it to.
Nothing was deleted, but a software update brought the site down. I managed to hack the databases backup to get most of the pure text back for blogs etc, but all images,mp3 etc were beyond my skills, so were lost. Since they had come from multiple contributors it was impossible to replace them.
You can get a much better idea of labels from here than those that were posted in the label guide. That guide and all the Parlophone blogs etc were written before this site existed. Many of the recent additions to the listings have used labels here for matrix info, so I really need to update almost all of them! I also have lots of info obtained meantime, including a complete list of the E5000 series which arrived two weeks ago. So much work, and never enough time!
But I need to edit the Parlo biog - Thanks for the heads-up! [Done]
Bit old and a bit new to this site- in my wanderings thru French Junk shops in search of '78' I have a copy of - Jack Hylton et son Orchestre - One side 'Dancing Tambourine' and the other - Gonna get a Girl' ' H.M.V. cat No. K 5296. Cannot however find it on the Discography kindly provided by ' Judge'. However have also Jack's 'Nos Bon Vieux Airs' K 6230, so would I be correct in assuming that previous one is earlier please.

( my Gramophone is five years older than me - but I do know how it is feeling when being wound up !)
Dancing Tambourine recorded 16/09/27
Gonna Get a Girl recorded 08/09/27
Nos Bons Vieux Airs - Part 1 and Part 2 recorded 09/04/31
A comprehensive Jack Hylton discography is on his website. No release dates, but I would imagine the 78s came out not long after being recorded. The K series seems to be a French one for HMV, so more difficult to find info for.

That is a wonderful resource for aficionados and researchers of this specialist field, Peter. Almost everyone has a great affection for records they had as a child, and I have somehow managed to hold onto my 'first record' and it was one of the first items I put here as soon as the 78s pages opened: CP.1745
I also still have an affection for my 78s by Uncle Mac so I am delighted to see that you have such a large listing for his 78s. I wish you every success in your venture.
Page 1 and Page 2 listed under General discographies links no longer work. You may want to delete.
The British disc record labels 1898-1923 link has been changed to:
