OldMod67 16th Mar 2022		Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams 2017 - Now	This series (still just the one, so far) was made by Sony and shown on Channel 4 in the UK and Amazon in the USA. Of the ten episodes, five were shot in England and five in America. The tie-in book contains the ten original source stories, with alternate script title where different, along with an introduction to each by the writer who adapted the story for the series.

mikewn ● 8th Mar 2022		Lonesome Dove: The Series 1994 - 1996	I'll add a portion of the scan of the cover with the title of this series. Note the language on the image I post of the back of the cover that states: "Collect All 43 Episodes Lonesome Dove: The Series * 21 Episodes Coming Soon: Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years * 22 Episodes" I have both box sets that I will be adding shortly. Probably should have two separate TV series entries for these with the separate names so that one can have IMDB references for each of them separately in the provided for link to allow access to both IMDB pages for the "different series". Probably should remove the alias for this one. Can always link to it from a comment if that feels right.
23skidoo 2nd Mar 2022		Celebrity Squares 1975 - Now	@OldMod67 LOL - and I'm still here! I know part of the challenge is they often changed the titles, as here. Since posting that I became aware of the existence of the UK version of Family Feud (but retitled Family Fortunes), for example.

OldMod67 26th Feb 2022		Celebrity Squares 1975 - Now	Belated reply (6 years later!) I had no idea back then that there was a U.S. version! The UK version was really popular, so much so that I had a tie-in board game for Christmas in the mid seventies.
OldMod67 18th Feb 2022		The Big Match 1968 - 1992	@Paul Vinyl, indeed, proper football. No wimpy falling over (not as much anyway) Tough guys not afraid to go for the ball. A lot of today's players wouldn't last five minutes in the seventies game. Better days as far as I'm concerned.

Robert Goodchild 2nd Jan 2022		The Beatles: Get Back 2021	I didn't have Disney+ until my daughter came to the rescue. I could easily watched all 65 hours of footage not just the 9 plus from the program. If and when the video is released the only improvement they could make on the program is show the roof top concert in full without street talking or police in the reception. I just want to see a full Beatles concert of the beatles post touring. Maybe also some of the studio songs in full without jumping to other clips.
alexlincs 31st Dec 2021		The Undateables 2012 - Now	Rated 5/10 It's a topic in itself, but a lot of "factual" and "reality", not to mention "comedy" programmes often consist of what would be an excellent 10 minute YouTube video dragged out for an one hour. Maybe attention spans are shorter than they were two decades ago, but The Undateables for me is incredibly slow moving with a recap after every ad break of which there are multiple long ones. The cynic in me says this is yet another attempt to peer in at the window of humanity and sneer at people who are different. Sadly, all mainstream TV channels are guilty of this. The fact clips of this show have become memes and appeared on "try not to laugh" compilations on YouTube says it all; as does the title. To sum up, a 10 minute programme dragged out for 45+ minutes is not my idea of a good time. Sally Phillips easy-going voice can't save it for me. moax429 13th Dec 2021		The Statler Brothers Show 1991 - 1998	CBS directly purchased TNN's parent company, Gaylord Broadcasting, GeorgeSlv (prior to their merger with Viacom), then folded the network and turned it into into Spike. I don't know what the network's name is now. From what I heard, CBS locked away all the TNN tapes - including The Statler Brothers Show - in their vaults. Bluegrass artist David Holt, who had his own show on TNN called Fire on the Mountain during the mid-to-late '80's, recently expressed his displeasure regarding how ViacomCBS assumed ownership of his series. Very brassy, I'd say.

When TNN folded, their assets were purchased by CBS in the late 90's, and then locked away. Shame. I liked The Statler Brothers Show, too; it seemed reminiscent of of those old C&W shows my folks used to watch in the 60's (including those on CBC like Tommy Hunter; at that time, I was only a kid - I was born in April 1962 - and my family and I lived in the Detroit suburb of Warren, Michigan, from 1964 to 1971. We could receive CKLW (now CBET), Channel 9, a CBC affiliate from Windsor, Ontario).
