The theme tune for the intro and outro for The Adventure Game is the Norwegian Dance No.2 from 4 Norwegian Dances,Op.35 by Edvard Grieg, originally for 1 or 2 pianos,as well as the orchestral version arranged by Hans Sitt.

Take away the hype surrounding the bare chested Turner, which the majority of the media initially focused on, this is a historical romp on par with anything broadcast in recent years.

I myself am not always a great fan of this type of drama however with its violence, raunchiness, romance, intrigue and humour set against the magnificent backdrop of the Cornish coast this series draws you in and before you know it you are hooked. The characters are well cast and like all good dramas there are heroes, villains, fools and beauties.

A well written and well filmed BBC period drama that I enjoyed more than I thought I would. I would recommend that you should give this one a look, I think like me you may be surprised at how good it is.

Roll on season 4 in 2018!

Aubrey (1980)
Review by MR B PAGE
I remember this series very well and made in 1980,and used to be on at 4:15 p.m.every weekday as part of Watch It or ITV logo, and ran for lasting 6 minutes approx and there are 39 cartoons in one series. This cartoon series is produced and directed by Derek Phillips for D.P.Films,and the animators were Martin Chatfield,Andy Wagner,Rose Welsh and Joanne Gooding, and also released on DVD with only 6 episodes. Also,I do like the music from the intro and outro especially.

This production was a rush job to capitalise on the forthcoming James Cameron blockbuster in 1997. I am not surprised to learn the show sunk just like it's namesake. I know in the Genre list it states History but in the case of this series I would take that to be in its most loosest sense. It's a dreadful production with poor acting, poor dialogue, poor sets, poor CGI and littered with loads of inaccuracies, there's even people having a good old barn dance on the lower decks that looks more like a scene from Little House On The Prairie. I think this one belongs at the bottom of the ocean along with the ship. If you're a fan of the Titanic then truly give this one a by-ball it's three hours of your life you'll never get back.

I remember this show very well, especially good acting from Fred Dryer [who used to be an American football defensive in the National Football League, before coming as an actor] and Stepfanie Kramer. Also,in this series which launched the careers such as George Clooney,Robert Englund [before coming as Freddy Kruger from Elm Street franchise] amongst others. At the moment,I`ve got three volumes so far at the moment, and there are 153 episodes in total. All I know this series used to be screened on Saturday nights, and by the same people who created the A-Team,and not to mention the same performers who wrote the main theme tune.

I remember this series when used to be screened at 12:00 p.m.,right after the schools programmes as far as I know, and the person who did mostly the puppetry is Christine Glanville [who is responisible doing for various Gerry Anderson TV series].The voices for the Munch Bunch, are both married in real life, and best remembered both appeared together in Radio 4 long running series called The Archers.Charles Collingwood also did the voice of Wordy in the Look and Read for BBC Schools and Colleges Programmes.

A brilliant compilation of British Rock acts from the 70's. Containing a real gem of a clip in the form of Man playing Ain't Their Fight from the album Back Into The Future. Along with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band playing Faith Healer and a very rare example of a great version of Free's Alright Now that has Paul Rodgers singing live to a backing track, his vocals are amazing on this clip. There's also clips of Family, Babe Ruth, Status Quo and a brilliant clip of Humble Pie doing Honky Tonk Woman and Steve Marriott is in fine voice for this one. A Tour de Force of pure classic British 70's music that's an absolute must see.

This TV Series ran for 5 series and there are 98 episodes in total.Tim Dunigan played Templeton `Faceman` Peck in the pilot story, before Dirk Benedict played the role in the regular TV series. My favourite is the Theme Music best of all,as well as the series, which I have the complete series on DVD.

This series ran for four series, adding 110 episodes [32 in black and white,78 in colour].The only two episodes in which Richard Basehart didn`t appear were The Menfish and The Mechanical Man,because of ill health. Also, this series launched the careers, before they came famous such as Leslie Nielsen,June Lockhart and even George Takei [a year before he came as Mr.Sulu in Star Trek] all became household names to achieve stardom. Also,I like the original theme tune best of all.Not to mention,Richard Basehart went on to narrate and played William Knight [in the pilot] in the TV series called Knight Rider, which turn out to be his first final role, when he passed away in 1984.

This is one of my favourite TV series of all time, and I remember this when I was 5 years old, when this came to our TV screens. All I can remember this, when screened on Sunday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. in the London area and repeated again on Saturday afternoons at 12:00 p.m.,and repeated again on Sunday nights at 11:45 p.m in 1983,and disappeared in our T.V.screens,and now I`ve got a complete series on DVD. there are 52 episodes in all and ran for 2 series. Also, this TV series launched the careers, before they became famous such as Judy Parfitt,Stephanie Beacham Roger Lloyd Pack [as a photographer in one episode uncredited before he came Trigger in Only Fools and Horses],David Suchet as a anti-terrorist in the episode called Fighting Fund. Not to mention,John Thaw also appeared in one episode called Lena, and filmed on location in Venice. This series is created by Gerry Anderson, and this is the only action thriller series, which has nothing to do with science fiction, which he fondly remembered.

This UK Gameshow is originally based on a US gameshow of the same name, and came to our TV screens in 1975-85,and produced for Anglia Television.Peter Fenn wrote the theme tune for Gambit [as well as the theme tune for Sale Of The Century],and he composed two different themes for the show.In 1975-80,first did this in a Tijuana Style like Herb Alpert, and in 1981-85,the same tune but in a style of Sale Of The Century, and not to mention,we see him in person playing a Hammond Organ in Part Two in the Music Question segment. The voiceover for this show in the 1975-85 era is John Benson [also did for Sale Of The Century].

Wow, I had no idea Micky Dolenz was involved!

This was a (to me) hilarious show! I reckon it would be great to see again, like the Scooby Doo series it was clearly influenced by.

Daws Butler's characterisation was the USP.

I'll be there forthwith. Fifthwith, even!

Quite a good dramatic re-creation of events that took place in 2008. Sheridan Smith was great as usual but the one thing I didn't like was how thick the Yorkshire accents were. They were so strong that parts of the dialogue were Indecipherable. I've noticed in recent years the tendancy to subtitle programs with accents this thick, and in the case of "The Moorside" this probably wouldn't have gone amiss.

As a kid, I watched all of this series and was devastated when it ended but.... it was replaced by Fireball X L 5 so that was even better.

I've revisited Fireball on YouTube - time to see if Supercar made it too!
