Badfinger - Say No More (1981)
There was no UK release of this album?

Cream - Wheels Of Fire (1968)
Does anyone know if the mono copy of this album is a dedicated mono mix or simply a fold-down of the stereo mix?

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1977)
I own a copy of this German release and, to my surprise, when I first played it all the way through, I found it had the gibberish in the run-out grooves on side two - just like the original UK release.

Badfinger - Straight Up (1972)
I couldn't find this album anywhere in my area when I tried to purchase it a couple of years after it came out to replace my original that I loaned out and never got back. The record store ordered one for me and when I went to pick it up, they had ordered a German Apple Records copy. They told me regular Capitol/Apple copies were not available at the time.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory (1970)
Every track on this LP could have been a top ten single! Their pinnacle LP.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Willy And The Poor Boys (1969)
I think all original first pressings of CCR albums until after 'Willy And the Poor Boys' came with plain white inner sleeves. The color sleeves with the album covers printed on one side were the standard starting with the release of the 'Cosmos Factory' album and in all CCR album pressings after that time.

Creedence Clearwater Revival - Creedence Clearwater Revival (1968)
Added picture of front cover of my original "deep groove" first pressing of the LP that had no red 'Suzie Q' blurb and came with a plain white inner sleeve.

The Beatles - "Yesterday"...And Today (1966)
I finally bought a stereo copy (purple label) of this album after I got my first Walkman. I was recording all my Beatles albums on cassette to listen to on the Walkman. I began to get several Beatles LPs that I did not have in stereo just for this purpose. I also bought near-mint German stereo copies of their first four albums in the 1980s as I was sequencing the songs in the order they were on the original UK albums. I found that original UK stereo pressings were very hard to find and very expensive.

The Beatles - "Yesterday"...And Today (1966)
Mine is the typical white background trunk cover, not a paste-over butcher. It also has the barely heard "OK Herb(?)" comment at the very end of 'Dr. Robert'.

The Beatles - Get Back (1988)
I've now added a picture of the back cover and the thin printed cardboard insert that came with the album. The blurb on the insert starts off with: "The Beatles Get Back". "Latest report from Apple records suggests a late August release for the Beatles next album...". The labels are all black with no printing and no record company name anywhere, outside of the Apple/Electrola logo in upper right corner of the front cover. Obviously not a real Apple/Electrola release.

The Beatles - Meet The Beatles! (1964)
I got this album for Christmas and was a bit disappointed that 'Please Please Me' was not on it, as it was the first Beatles song I heard on the radio. A few months later I bought my mono copy of Vee-Jay's "Introducing The Beatles" album at Woolworth's for $3.98 (my parents gave me the money) simply because it had the missing song and I soon realized, outside of 'I Saw Her Standing There', that ALL of the other songs were different that the ones on my 'Meet the Beatles' album! Needless to say, that 10 year old version of me was absolutely thrilled at having another virtually new album of more Beatles tunes to listen to. Also needless to say, my parents were a bit less than thrilled to have to listen to me constantly play even more of that music.

The Beatles - Introducing The Beatles [Version One] (1964)
I have two interesting stereo counterfeit copies of this LP. One has the brown border around the outside of the front cover (and obvious indication it's fake) that I bought for $3 at a record show. The vinyl plays in mono but the sound quality is very good. A second fake I own has a very convincing cover as it has the 1/4 inch cardboard overlap inside the cover and the printing quality is sharp and excellent. I would almost believe it was an authentic stereo album cover except it has 'Love Me Do' and 'P.S. I Love You' listed in the columns on the back, which are extremely rare so, it's VERY doubtful the cover is authentic - it's just a well-made fake. The vinyl has a flat black label with silver printing. The record title and 'The Beatles' are separated by the spindle hole and the space between the label and the record grooves is just a bit larger than 1 inch - a sure sign that the vinyl is fake. yet, the record plays in true stereo (except "Love Me Do' and P.S. I Love You' which are both in mono) and in excellent sound quality. 'I Saw Her Standing There' is missing the "1, 2, 3" part of the '1, 2, 3, 4..' countdown, just like the legitimate copies.

The Beatles - Introducing The Beatles [Version Two] (1964)
Added pic of red inner sleeve of my mono copy. According to the '"Introducing The Beatles" website about this album, I have an early mono copy, as typified by being in the red sleeve instead of the usual full-color ad sleeve or the more common generic white sleeve.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
I've added scans of my first pressing Scranton labels with the 'A Little Help From My Friends' title on side one instead of 'With A Little Help From My Friends', as was corrected in later pressings. My first pressing mono copy has the same error.

The Beatles - The Beatles [The White Album] (1968)
I got my copy as a Christmas gift and it must be a first pressing as it has the errors. 'Obladi, Oblada' and 'Bungalow Bill' on side one as well as the others. I still have the original 4 color photos and the poster with the album, everything in very good condition. The stamped number on the front is A1905667.

Bobby Vee And The Ventures - Bobby Vee Meets The Ventures (1963)
The song on this album, 'Wild Night' is 'Party In Laguna' from the Ventures album "Surfing" without the overdubbed yelling and shouting.

The Ventures - Surfing (1963)
The song 'Spudnik' from their 1962 "Mashed Potatoes And Gravy" album was recycled for the "Surfing" album and re-titled 'Surf Rider'.

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
I added Capitol's 1969 reissue green labels with the Capitol "target" logo from my '69 copy. It came in plain white sleeve with no cutout insert. I still have my original stereo and mono copies bought in '67 with their red & white psychedelic sleeves and cutouts.

The Beatles - Get Back (1988)
My copy is a German bootleg LP that uses a reproduction of the original artwork made up for the aborted Apple LP release. The sound quality is excellent, comparable to that of an officially released album. I've added an image of the front cover.

Buck Owens And His Buckaroos - Your Tender Loving Care (1967)
An oddity is that the last song on side 2, "You Made A Monkey Out Of Me" was in mono on the stereo album. My research shows that there was never any stereo mix of this particular song. I wonder why, considering the year the album was released. I can understand why some early tracks of Buck's are in mono only as they were either recorded in mono or mono-mixed only, at the time when mono was the prevalent format, and the original studio tapes may have been lost either lost or discarded over the years. But, in 1967 considering how big a country music star Buck was, it's a bit strange to have this one song only available in mono, even now in 2019. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is?
