umbria99 19th Sep 2023		Vinyl Album George Harrison - The Best Of George Harrison (1981)	That's right RC, and was picked up in charity shop today in the UK and added to the collection. It has the same cover artwork as the linked Australian Parlophone 1976 release.
umbria99 26th Apr 2021		Vinyl Album Black Blood - Chicano (1976)	According to Afro7 website, "Black Blood was an afrobeat/funk/soul/disco outfit formed by expatriate Kenyan musicians in Brussels, Belgium in the mid-70’s. They performed in local clubs, were sighted by a record label executive, cut a few singles and LPs (1975’s Chicano arguably being their strongest work) and appear to have vanished into thin air afterwards." Songs are performed in Swahili.
umbria99 26th Feb 2021		Vinyl Album Steppenwolf - Steppenwolf Gold (1971)	Although Steppenwolf Gold - Their Great Hits was released in many territories, there is no linked release in this case, despite the US version DSX 50099 also being listed on the labels. This would appear to be because of the drug connotation, The Pusher (written by Hoyt Axton) is censored from this pressing. It has been replaced at B2 with a Mars Bonfire composition Faster Than The Speed Of Life, but this appears to have been erroneously credited to Hoyt Axton on the label. It looks like someone In EMI's South East Asia department took their eye off the ball.

umbria99 6th Nov 2018		Vinyl Album Santana - Santana (1969)	Track A2 erroneously credited to Jimmie Zack, whereas the inter web seems pretty sure it was written by Clarence “Sonny” Henry. This version is heard briefly during episode 4 of BBC drama “Trust” about the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III.
umbria99 24th Sep 2018		Vinyl Album Simon And Garfunkel - Bookends (1968)	My mono copy has a laminated front cover and on the back “Sleeve produced by Upton Printing Group” whereas my stereo version has a Matt finish cover and there are no sleeve printer credits.
umbria99 28th Mar 2017		Vinyl Album Free - The Free Story (1975)	I picked up the #9327-4 Canadian pressing this morning for a fiver from a charity shop, though it does have ISLD4 printed on the sleeve, and its Limited Edition Number is #03038. However, just as with the UK release no one seems to know just how many copies of each album these editions were limited to.

umbria99 7th Nov 2016		Vinyl Album David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars (1972)	My copy has a similar back cover to that uploaded by harry1958 save that in the top left corner it has RCA HH (this appears in a white box - greetings card style), the label is minus Stereo as per the image uploaded by roboleyton. So can anyone tell me is this a 1972 release or a reissue?

Could the mods provide a workaround for this as I wish to add the Neil Young triple as well as my UK copy of Lotus?

umbria99 30th Jun 2015		Vinyl Album Sandie Shaw - Sandie (1965)	This is a 'Monaural' release on Pye Popular and as the sleeve notes tell us 'Just a few incident-packed months ago, Sandra Goodrich was just a teenager from Essex, avidly following the trends of teen fashion - gulping in huge rations of pop music in between working as a punch-card operator at Ford's massive factory in Dagenham'. The lovely cover photo is Courtesy of ABC TV's "Thank Your Lucky Stars". As soon as I have time to master how to add photos from an iPad I will do so.
umbria99 27th Jun 2015		Vinyl Album Elton John - Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player (1973)	My DJM 22091 version is in non gatefold sleeve which has Cat No# DJH 20427 on the spine and a sticker over that number on the sleeve with the number that appears on the label. The inner sleeve is a picture/lyric version.
