Have uploaded the 1st press silver embossed sleeve, the print on the back is also silver rather white. Ufortunately my copy is a bit battered!

note: labels and inner sleeve are identical on both versions.

The Lonnie Donegan Skiffle Group - Rock Island Line / John Henry
Just noticed Grahams comment! - answer is Yes, I believe it's something to do with the songs being traditional and therefore out of copyright?

The Jungle Band - Dreamy Blues / Runnin' Wild!
A book by Mark Tucker which is online on Google books seems to suggest the american disc of this was released in January 1931 simultanesly with the "Feetwarmers" version on OKEH [Duke again] see here.

Theres no reason why an English release couldn't be close after, as you could get the acetates across in 4 days by liner in 1930.

Duke Ellington And His Famous Orchestra - Mood Indigo / Runnin' Wild!
I put up the Jungle Band the other day here. I have reason to believe that the Jungle Band was issued in late 1930 about the same time as this, but release dates are difficult, what isn't, though, is the recording dates. It transpires this was recorded one day before the other. There is a very good webpage detailing the sessions here.

So therefore, this record is not a straight reissue as it is a different take.

Walt Disney's Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs - With A Smile And A Song / Dig-A-Dig-Dig
I saw 2 of these today and took a chance not realising there would be three 78's in the set. The 2 I got [515/516] have a blue paper picture sleeve each which would have been joined together in a triptych* book fashion. Lovely labels.

Humphrey Lyttelton - Melancholy Blues / The Thin Red Line
I will make a note to find this disc and scan it, its obvious from labels that this is an "indie" record!

Also please note it wasn't the only release either, HL issued about 6/7 78's maybe more, before he was signed to Parlophone.

Freddie Bell And The Bell Boys - Giddy-Up-A Ding Dong / I Said It And I'm Glad
a couple of other tracks [also on ep] appeared on this sometime in 1956 on this 10" album. I get the feeling that somebody at Mercury would have been kicking themselves for not moving into 45's while the RnR scene was booming!?

A quick look on 45cat shows no UK Mercury 45's before November 1957- so no is the answer probably?
