Georgia Washboard Stompers - Everybody Loves My Baby (But My Baby Don't Love Nobody But Me) / High Society
No, I've got enough to do with getting most of the V Disc labels up...this is being posted as an off-shoot of the great "High Society" caper.

Duke Ellington - I'm Checkin' Out Goom-Bye / Tootin' Through The Roof
Good stuff fixbutte. Funny. The Dutch site never came up when I was initially trying to track all of this mess down. Just to add a little more confusion for everyone to wade through, I find it interesting to note just a few of the variations in the discography related to this title:

November, 1928, Brunswick 4181, Monk Hazel and His Beinville Roof Orchestra, High Society (Uncredited Composition), as printed on the label

July 3, 1929, Okeh 8706, Clarence Williams' Washboard Band, High Society (Piron), as printed on the label

July 13, 1933, Vocalion 25010-A, Clarence Williams and His Orchestra, High Society (Steele, Melrose), as printed on the label.

August 7, 1933, Columbia 2806-D, Clarence Williams' Jug Band and Lowland Singers, High Society (Piron and Williams), as printed on the label.

September 13, 1938, RCA Victor 20-1503/Victor 26068-B - Bunny Berigan And His Orchestra, High Society (Steele, Melrose), as printed on the label.

April 3, 1939, Victor 25209-A, Lional Hamption and His Orchestra, High Society (Porter Steele, Walter Melrose), as printed on the label

December, 1939, Varsity 8154, Roy Eldridge and His Orchestra, High Society (Steele, Melrose), as printed on the label

March 29, 1942, Jazz Man 15, Lu Watters' Yerba Buena Jazz Band, High Society (Porter Steele), as printed on the label.

February, 1945, Exner 4, Kid Ory's Creole Band, High Society (C. Williams), as printed on the label.

November 2, 1949, Columbia 38656, Jimmy Dorsey and His Original “Dorseyland” Jazz Band, High Society (Steele), as printed on the label,

January 2, 1960, Roulette LP SR 25261 The World Of Jack Teagarden, High Society (P. Steele, W. Melrose), as printed on the label.

Tommy Dorsey - For You / Without A Song
Side A: According to the Sinatra discography, "Put Your Dreams Away" compiled by Luiz Carlos do Nashcimento Silva (Westport CT, The Greenwood Press, 2000), Sinatra never recorded a song entitled "For You" with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Nor is there a listing of any other Sinatra/Dorsey recording that was issued on the V Disc 33 A side.

Simiarly, the Sinatra family website listing of Frank's V Disc discography only lists "Without A Song" for this V Disc release.

The source information for this particular release was retrieved from Richard S. Sears' work, V-Discs: A History and Discography. (Westport, Connecticut, The Greenwood Press, 1980). So, until label scans and/or audio material become available for this apparently rare issue, we are left with a mystery.

Richard Dyer-Bennett - Venezuela / The Keeper Of The Eddistone Light
Side B: Popularized in the U. S. circa 1947 by Burl Ives.

A 1947 British release of the title (His Master's Voice D.A, 1873, featuring tenor Peter Pears and Benjamin Britten on piano) attributes the song to "Suffolk" as the composer. Whether this refers to revised lyrics or the music itself is unclear.

Elton Britt - There's A Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere / Buddy Boy
Side A1: The song, with revised lyrics, was to return to the charts in 1960 with Red River Dave's hit "'There's A Star Spangled Banner Waving #2 (The Ballad Of Francis Powers)."

The tune told the story of former Air Force Captain Francis Gary Powers, whose CIA U-2 spy plane was shot down over Russian territory while on a reconnissance mission, igniting the famous "U-2 Incident." Although sentenced to ten years in prison on espionage charges by the Russians in 1960, he was released in an exchange for Soviet KGB Colonel Vilyam Fisher, better known as "Rudolf Abel", who had been arrested in 1957 for espionage in the U. S.by the FBI.

Sgt. "Ace" Goodrich - The Little Brown Suit My Uncle Bought Me / Hup! Tup, Thrup! Four! (Jack, The Sleepy Jeep)
Goodrich and Lane were members of the Special Services Division assigned to the production of "Stars and Gripes" which had its very successful premiere at Fort Hamilton, New York on July 14, 1943.

In civilian life Goodrich had been a comic, songwriter and Broadway performer, appearing in "Nice Goin'" in 1939 and "Panama Hattie" the following year. Lane was a featured vocalist at New York's Paramount Theater, toured with the Chico Marx Orchestra and performed on a number of radio programs.

Ziggy was born in 1920. When he enlisted in the Army he became entertainment director of Fort Hamilton. He was often billed as Corporal Ziggy Lane. After the Big Band Era he went on to have his own TV show, “TV Dinner Date,” based in New York. He later moved to Florida and became a composer and helped to launch careers of some local performers. He also served as president of Carousel Records for a time. He passed away in Miami in 1995.

Laura Duncan - The Lady Eve / I Want A Man
There doesn't seem to be a great deal of information that I've been able to pull up on the web regarding Laura Duncan.

In fact, the only mention of note on this New York based Afro-American jazz singer came from the autobiography of Geoge Wein, "Myself Among Others: A Life In Music."

Wein, the founder of the Newport Jazz Festival and co-founder of the Newport Folk Festival, describes her as a very talented young singer at the time of their initial meeting. However, she also was the official vocalist of the New York Communist Party, featured at many of Henry Wallace's (former vice president under F. D. R. and endorsed by the Communist Party) rallies during his run in the presidential race of 1948.

The Red Scare, the rise of McCarthyism, blacklisting, FBI surveillance and all of the fear-mongering tied into that era obviously squashed whatever success she was able to obtain.

Any discographical information related to any label which may have featured her is lacking. Other than a very short list of a Laura Duncan being a cast member of several Broadway productions during the 1930s (which may or may not be the same woman), there is no further biographical information to be found.

Mark Warnow - Meadowland / Che Li
Mark Warnow was the older brother of bandleader Raymond Scott (born Harry Warnow). Mark was a mainstay at CBS radio for many years, as the network's musical director and conductor of the "Your Hit Parade" orchestra. Warnow also arranged and conducted for Frank Sinatra while he was on the Columbia Records roster, which at the time was owned by CBS. Warnow died on October 17, 1949 at the age of 49.

The Lyn Murray Singers were the featured vocal group on "Your Hit Parade" . The London-born Murray (real name: Lionel Breeze) also conducted, arranged and produced material for such Columbia Records stars as Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby and Burl Ives. Murray also scored numerous Hollywood films and television programs, eventually winning an Emmy for his work for National Geographic's special "Miraculous Machines." He succumbed to cancer at the age of 79 on April 29, 1989.

Bea Wain - Put Your Arms Around Me, Honey / Comin' In On A Wing And A Prayer
This represents the debut of the V Disc series which began in October, 1943 with the issue of the "A" release package, involving V Disc catalog numbers 1 through 30. Each month thereafter brought a new release package in alphabetical order until the label was discontinued in May, 1949 ("FFF" release, catalog number 905).

The recordings included a wide-ranging hodge podge of all music genre, sourced from commercial recordings, radio broadcast rehearsals and air-checks, V Disc recording sessions, Hollywood film soundtrack takes/outtakes, concerts and recitals (there were even several "blooper" issues). From jazz to polka, spoken word to classical, it's all found within the series.

Of course, these recordings were issued to military installations and units only. They were prohibited from both being commercially released or even owned by civilian collectors (currently all are within the public domain). Following the demise of the label, installations were ordered to destroy all copies of the releases and most of the master/stamper metal parts also were discarded. The Library of Congress maintains a full set of the label's output; the National Archives managed to save a limited number of the master/stamper parts for posterity.

The above release represents the U. S. Army's issue of the recording. For a limited time there were separate issues for the Navy and Marine Corps, with their own label designs and catalog numbers. Eventually, these separate labels were dropped and all subsequent releases were issued using the Army's label design.

Shirley And Lee - Feel So Good / You'd Be Thinking Of Me
There is a discrepancy regarding the release date of this issue. The 45 entry indicates April, 1955, the OP indicates June, 1955. The book,"Rhythm & Blues in New Orleans", lists the release date as August ,1955 (which is probably the debut date on the Billboard charts). www.78discography.com lists it circa April-May, 1955 (more like May, according to the matrix numbers). Clarification is needed here.
