Jasper 5th Jan 2017		Vinyl Album Robe G. - Guitar Sounds Of Robe G. (1965)	I have entered this as Mono LP although I am not sure if it was released via Universal Record Club in stereo but it was subsequently issued by Universal Summit (who took over the back catalogue of Universal Record Club after they ceased operation) in stereo under cat # SRA 250 049.
Jasper 2nd Jan 2017		Vinyl Album Buddy Holly And The Crickets - Buddy Holly And The Crickets (1964)	Hi wax_museum - I have noticed that these Universal Record Club LPs have confused a few on Discogs (e.g. Del Shannon - Runaway LP) - the covers just show the "U-..." cat# with the SU (stereo) or UP (mono) on the labels and often not mentioning mono on the mono releases.
Jasper 2nd Jan 2017		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Easy Come, Easy Go (1967)	Added label images and entered date as May 1967 - A567 printed at bottom right-hand side of back cover - going along with PhilMH theory, seems to be working out so far.
Jasper 30th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album Elvis Presley - Promised Land (1975)	Just noticed track A1 on the label has the composer credit as Chuch Berry - you would think that they would have the title track correct. My copy bought 1977 - original 1972 issue probably has orange label.

Jasper 26th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album Louis Armstrong And His Orchestra - Jazz Classics (1960)	I picked this up a few years back in a bulk lot of about 30 albums and haven't gotten round to looking at them until now. I have never heard of the Popular Record Club but do recognise a couple of the titles from the Universal Record Club which I was a member of for a few years. It looks like it was a forerunner of the Universal Record Club. I was going to enter this as 1958 in line with the N.Z. release on Discogs (which would seem about right) then I thought that the MX4828 matrix no. might reveal something.

Jasper 20th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album The Supremes And The Four Tops - The Return Of The Magnificent Seven (1973)	I purchased this album on the 26th October 1973 from the WRC catalogue current at the time so should be a 1973 release.
Jasper 16th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album Cat Stevens - Teaser And The Firecat (1971)	O.K let's see where this one takes us. Will upload inner gate fold and gold label images later. I don't want to squash it in the scanner folded out. Snippet from Go-Set magazine 27/11/1971 - Another album of interest is Cat Stevens, "Teaser And The Firecat" album, which Festival released on November the 8th. The album, according to Festival, earned a gold record prior to release, through advance orders placed from all States, and this week went into the No. 7 spot on the album charts, only one week after release.

Jasper 13th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album Simon And Garfunkel - Simon And Garfunkel	These are part of the Music For Pleasure Gold Edge series (starting in 1970) - 0001 - Johnny Cash 1970, 0002 - Diana Ross and The Supremes Plus. It is going to be difficult to pin down a release date of this (I believe that this is a re-issue, the original was gate fold) as although the labels are CBS the cat# is Music For Pleasure so will not show up in lists of CBS releases. Jasper 13th Dec 2016		Vinyl Album Eagles - Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 (1976)	Hi Lee, can't locate my copy at the moment - mine is an Australian Record Club copy - the details I have are in exercise books that I have kept but back in those days probably didn't pay much attention to dashes and spaces in the cat #. Came to me at the same time as The Best Of Uriah Heep, Harry Chapin Portrait Gallery and The Best Of Gladys Knight And The Pips which is probably of little interest to anyone else but me.

I hate when this happens i.e. I was just going to post a better front cover image (no laminate folds) then I noticed no laminate folds because my original issue was not laminated, then noted difference in the labels - not bold font and curved printing on the bottom of the label, then back cover no affiliation with Summit Records. Sorry Whassup looks like I'm going to come over the top of you again with an original issue.

(1972)	A couple of other interesting little things 7/6/1979 I bought 2 RCA albums through WRC - Perry Como - And I Love You So - APL1 -0100 and Al Stewart Time Passages VPL1 7188. I was surprised that they were selling RCA at the time. The last album I got from WRC was 13/7/1979.

(1972)	Hi PhilMH - looks like I should refer to my books before making comment, actually I kept purchase dates as of May 1972 - the first EMI releases I received via World Record Club were on 13/12/1972 - Deep Purple (Harvest SHVL 759), Grand Funk - Survival (Capitol SW764) and Moody Blues - In Search Of The Lost Chord (Deram SMLA 711). I will post when I get a chance and see if there is any difference between these and the normal retail releases.

(1972)	Hi PhilMH - I need to investigate further I was a member of WRC from about 1967 to whenever it folded (still have quite a few of their old catalogues). I have a couple of hundred releases on the WRC label and also bought the EMI albums later in the piece but thought that this was much later than 1974. According to several entries in Discogs 1974/5 was when they changed from the "strobe" design label to the "herald" design, single address on the back cover and R-0 cat # on the label. I picked up this copy in recent times so I don't have a purchase date although I was meticulous in recording purchase date and other details for every album I bought between 1974 and 1988. By the cat # on this you may be correct that the original issue of this was 1972.
