Have submitted a correction on the end date; since we have precedent for revivals/continuations made by the same companies/networks (i.e. X-Files) this is probably better than starting a new listing. Interesting to see Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame in the cast list.
23skidoo 22nd Mar 2019		Titanic 2012	I thought I read somewhere this is considered a Canadian co-production but I haven't been able to find a proper source to confirm. Reportedly it was due to her performance in this that Jenna Coleman was cast in Doctor Who (which only works if that show's producers saw an advance copy, as the miniseries debuted in the UK a couple of weeks after Coleman was announced as joining Doctor Who).

albert 6th Feb 2019		Die Gentlemen Bitten Zur Kasse 1966 - Now	I found an English dubbed version of the feature film as a bonus on Network's recent Robbery DVD. The film is quite well made and is roughly split in two, first from the gang's perspective planning and carrying out the robbery, then once the deed is done we switch to the police operation tracking down the criminals. Apparently the mini series enjoyed many reruns and is available on DVD, however because of some BBC-style foolishness the German TV company destroyed the negatives during a clearout. The German DVDs are apparently still OK with what materials they have to work from, however the English dub of the cinema release is not in great condition with distortion and damage like a bad video tape copy, and that is what we get on the UK DVD. Still it is worth watching and makes a nice bonus.

jaspergiggles 3rd Feb 2019		The Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe 1964	Superb show up there with Thunderbirds and Banana Splits as best TV show of my childhood and all had great theme tunes of course and was always shown during school holidays. I remember being so sad when Crusoe's dog died in one of the later episodes.

23skidoo 2nd Jan 2019		Holiday Lodge 1961	A slight correction to the Notes I wrote: this was Wayne and Shuster's only scripted American series. They did do a set of specials for CBS ("An Affectionate Look") in the early 1960s but it wasn't intended to be an ongoing series.
albert 31st Dec 2018		Top Of The Pops 1964 - 2006	The Beatles one and only proper appearance on TOTPs was transmitted 16th June 1966 according to Record Collector 250, page 135. They also report that a copy of the whole show exists outside of the BBC archive but found its way into collectors circles, rapidly changing hands so its whereabouts is not known. The Beatles did Rain & Paperback Writer.
